Remnants of the Past

We had a great time at Remnants of the Past Vintage Show in San Luis Obispo!  What a wonderful show!

Our Booth Before and...

After!

When you have the passion for antiques, it's pure heaven to be in a place where so many like-minded people gather and where so many wonderful treasures are!  By "like-minded", I mean addicted to antiques!  We loved being able to talk with the other vendors and admire their wonderful displays and merchandise!

The thing that really stands out at Remnants is creativity! This was our second time having a space and selling at Remnants, but we've been shopping it for years!  I always come away inspired and motivated!  We also had the privlege of talking with so many of the 1,000s of people attending the show!  How wonderful to be able to tell them about Down Home and our merchandise! Our weekend in San Luis Obispo was very fun and successful!

The Junk Girls had some great, funky works of art but their custom cuffs are still some of their best!

The Willow's Nest came all the way from Texas to put together a marvelous space at the show! And their lovely little doves cooed all weekend in this great metal bird cage!

Ted and Gloria, owners of ShabbyTown USA made their first time at Remnants well worth it! They filled their space with beautiful unique items and we loved having them as our neighbors for the two day show.
Tim, Lisa and John from Blue Canoe Reloaded put together quite the space! Tons of rich color and textures gave everyone lots to look at!

Lisa's custom and handmade bottles looked as beautiful as ever!

Philomena by the Sea, a designer of grain sack and military fabric bags
had some new styles we adored!

This old gypsy wagon added some whimsy for the weekend!

The Rusty Bucket owners, Patty and Chuck put together an amazing display with some awesome carriage house doors and all these great suitcases!

The Prized Pig had a lovely display, this antique dress form was one of our favorite pieces!

Vanguard Studios put together a "dress up" photo booth and it was absolutely adorable!

Thank you to Judy Watkins and her team who make the show such a blessing to be part of! I hope they all get some time to relax and celebrate their great accomplishment!

Judy and Me! One of the best parts of these shows is making new friends like Judy!
As for us, we are now getting ready for our 13th Birthday Open House at Down Home which happens on June 23rd!  But, we are excited and looking forward to doing Remnants again in October!!!  If you haven't taken the trek up the coast to attend this show, plan now for the Fall! You'll love it as much as I do!!!
